1987 Porsche 924s won't start
Let me introduce myself. My name is Zibby and my son Matt. We bought 1987 Porsche 924s with manual transmission. When we bought the car it was running. The guy who we bought drove about 60 km to bring it. We started the car for a few days and it was ok, no problem. We could not drive it because it needs a safety certificate to put on the road. After about a week we could not start the car. We got a new battery but it didn’t help. We replaced spark plugs and wires distributor cap and rotor ignition coil and dme relay. The car started right away. It was ok for the next 3 days after that it stopped running again. My son started hitting the ECM the car started. We decided to buy a new one from USA from R******o. After hooking it up the car started. It was ok for one day and after that it stopped running again. We are going to replace crankshaft sensors next week. How to check the ECM? Maybe we got a crappy one from R******o? We are located in Hamilton On. Canada. We would like to find someone here who has a Porsche 924s or 944 and try to check our ECM in their car if it is broken. Any ideas on what to check or replace? It is very frustrating dealing with the car. Any help would be very appreciated.

PCA membership (Upper Canada) and the forums at Rennlist are also invaluable. While a paid membership is your best bet for the latter it has a Canada-only forum.
