Post Underdrive pulleys

Does anyone have any experience with underdrive pulleys on a 944na. I saw were Paragon Products now has underdrive pulleys for 944. Also saw a kit for a/c system delete. Does anyone have any experience with these items, because they are a good way to reduce weight and the power robbing from stock pulleys.

I've seen them for all kind of cars in catalogues. So, they either work or a lot of people are fooled.

One thing about the 944, don't think you can get one for the water pump. You have aircondition, alternator and power steering.

Alternator. Not sure about this but I think drag on the alternator from producing voltage is just what the regular tells it it needs. Slowing this down would help from mininmal friction drag on brushes & torque required to acelrate due to flywheel affect of rotor. Maybe a little bit of help hear.

Air condition. When not used clutch free wheels pulley. Just flywheel affect hear. A little help.

Power steering. Even when not turning wheels, it seems that pump has to pump through a bypass or relief valve. A good percentage of pump power required could be saved heae + flywheel affect.

Belts & pulleys. Flywheel affect.

I'd figure out if other power gains were more effective dollar wise & see if crankshaft pulleys were the ones replaced.

I think that the main thing about these pulleys is less rotating mass. Billet aluminum vs steel(or whatever the oem pulleys are made of), and smaller diameter (rotating faster?), or same diameter?
Very interested in the a/c delete - for weight saving, only because my car is used for auto-x, etc. Plans are to make into full race car, gutted , etc.

less mass, but i believe different size (larger), so rotates slower and has less parasitic drag on engine (but lessens electrical output).

-----------
it's all the rotation...

You could just get a smaller belt for the alternator and then drain your refridgerant and take off the compressor...... I mean... what does a AC delete kit do anyways?
