I am in the middle of helping a friend fix up a '78 924 for his daughter and we have come across a question for this knowledgeable group. When flushing out the tank so we can seal it ( had rust inside), we find a small amount of fluid gets trapped somewhere. No matter how we shake or turn the tank, we can't find where it is or how to remove it EXCEPT it eventually comes out the small vent(?) tube that comes out the middle of the top of the tank. Can anyone tell us where this vent(?) tube leads and why we are getting fluid stuck in the tank? We want to get the tank back in but are afraid that the dealer may end up in the same place and cause us trouble. HELP!!
Thanks in advance for what I know will be great advice. |

It is better to get a good used tank instead of sealing the one you have. But if you want an answer to this question it is best to go to www.924.org and post a question there.
Where are you located? I have a good 944 tank that might bolt right up. In MA. Eric Eturbo924@yahoo.com www.geocities.com/eturbo924
