I glanced through 'Original Porsche 924/944/968' and only found M-codes on the options list for 944s. Additionally, 944 colors for the 1985 year have single letter/digit codes, so that can't be what you're looking for either. Sorry bud, I didn't come across a C88, or anything really close for that matter... -Trevor

Noticed both of you that do have 85.5 944's. Wonder if that has anything to do with it? I also have a 85.5 but I can't find my option codes anwywhere. Not in my manual nor in the back hatch.

I/m looking all over the net, and no trace of C88 so far......

Speaking of which, what the heck is in a touring package?

Lightbulb

From what I understand, all of the "C" codes have to do with catalytic converters.
