Cracked Steering Rack...Help!?!
Can anyone help me out. I live in Ontario, Canada, so I've had my 1987 944 garaged for the winter, but now that spring here, I can't wait to get it out and on the road.
However, I have a problem with a cracked steering rack. Does anyone know what sort of a price I can expect to pay for a replacement??? Or if anyone has any other comments that could possibly help out, I would really appreciate it. Thanx a lot guys, Looking forward to your help. When I had mine replaced, it was about $670 for the rack, plus labor. Pelican doesn't have a price listed for their rebuilt racks, but Europroducts has ZF (OEM) rebuilt racks for $529, or generic rebuilt for $279.
