Need help identifying
 
What is that in the picture and is it suppose to click multiple times (like, tick tick tick tick) every time I turn my ignition to the on position?

Not sure about the tick noise, mine hasn't worked since I've had my car......

Maybe the 'set' button or 'resume' button is stuck, causing the clicking.

Just an uneducated guess.
