VALUE OF A 79 924 TURBO

HELLO ALL, VISITING FROM THE 911 BOARD AND AM LOOKING FOR A ROUGH PRICE EST. ON A TURBO 79,, CAR IS IN GOOD MECH RUNNING AND COSMETIC SHAPE ..THE SEATS ARE RIPPED UP AND IT HAS ABOUT A TWENTY DOLLAR PAINT JOB,, BUT WADAYA THINK IT'S WORTH??

In respectable condition I would give the car about a 3 to 5 thousand price range. Be warned though, the 79 model year was still a series 1 model turbocahrger which unfortunatly had many problems and failed relativly early due to poor oil circulation.
Happy hunting.

naah, drive it until you kill it.. then part it out. those cars are a BLAST to drive. have fun with it while you have it.

then when you part it out, you will more than get your money's worth.

Tough question...Mileage? Tranny, drive train, clutch OK? Is that what you meant by
'good mechanical condition'? How 'bout sus-
pension, axles & frame? Compression OK? Turbo
behave? I'd guess $3,000 might get my attention. Location/market? If you find an '81 Turbo write me.
Obin, 1.2gees et al probably have a good handle on $$$, across the country.
