Well,anyone?
Im taking mine soon and lets see how i do,I just want to get a clutch first.I was wondering as to how everyone actually does. All i see around the net is the quater mile time from That the M.a.f kits claim but no actual numbers, and with mods, etc;.

you won't find many drag racers here. try http://www.streetracing.org. there are a few people that drag race 951s there.

all i can say is: make sure you know how to put the pieces back together when the differential explodes. that's a $1300 repair.

have fun!

We have a quarter mile strip around here. BUt i dont plan on going as i would really hate to embarrass the Porsche crest by getting smoked by a ford taurus or some such car.

That and i happen to like my transmission.

You'd be better off hitting the slalom or running against other cars on a road track. From experience, I think we all know that 944s aren't exactly beasts off the line (but are monsters on the highway). 951s are very fast, but i've seen Honda Civic SIs that run 13 second quarter miles. I would be embarrassed to show my face if everyone knew my Turbocharged Porsche got whooped in a drag race by a Riceburner.

951 ARE beasts of the line! Assuming you drive them good. A launch on a 951 is much harder to accomplish than the average camaro. I have gotten a 13.21 on turbo S with Stage 2 chips, Aluminum flywheel and centerfoce clutch. Stock Turbo S can achieve pretty close to 13.5-13.6. Regular turbos wil can get around 14.00 stock. But again I must empasize a perfect launch. If you go too low then ou boggle your way to 20 mph and if too high, you spin out into eternity! Let me know how it goes.
