Post Porsche 944 wittout a hatchback

Hey! Any of you guys know about a 944 model that was delivered to a few dealers when the 944 cabriolet came out that had a trunk instead of a hatchback? Its basically a 944 cab. without the convertable top. Theres a dealer around here that has one (i think its an 88-89 s model). It has 8 miles and has never been started. But it seems to be one of only a few.

Correction, It hasn't been started since the dealer got it in 88-89. I'll try to get pics.

When I saw it I took a close look at it. It doesn't look like an aftermarket addition. I will try to get pics and a VIN for it when I'm there next.

It was bought by this dealer directly from a porsche dealer as is. So, unless the porsche dealer did it, its real. (They have pictures of it at the porsche dealer, hoping its a collectors car).

....no mention of the car in any of the many books I have read. Wouldn't that be listed as a special addition in 'Original Porsche 924/944/968'?

What a shame. There's just about nothing worse for an engine than to sit- especially for 13 years.

The seals on that engine are gonna be toast. They will all have to be replaced before the engine gets started or there could be some major damage.

I'd still like to see what it looks like
