I was changing my spark plugs today and I noticed or I cause a line to break. Because I didn't find any pieces I am going to assume it was a pre-existing problem. Any way it is a half rubber half hard plastice line that goes from the tee right off of the pressure/regulator in the front of the engine to a sensor or something in the back of the engine. It is a small ("1/2 Diameter sensor) cylinder in the very back of the engine. I am wondering what that line is that is broke and what it is connected to. It is part no.25 in this picture http://www.pelicanparts.com/944/944_parts/944_83-85/Pic11.jpg or it atleast looks like that.
Thanks Thom |

I had my engine apart for the last week, and i ran across this sensor, it's a coolant temperature switch for controlling a vacuum accessory.
by the looks of that exploded view, it turns on the evaporative emissions system (charcoal canister) only after the engine warms up. Mike |
