Question Wont start

I have the 86 engine installed in the 83 na. I'm getting spark but no fuel. What should I check. I took the cap off of the fuel rail and cranked her over and no fuel came out.

DME relay is common problem. there is a procedure for checking it, if you search for "DME relay" im sure it will come up. i use the backwoods method of jumping the fuel pump directly from the battery. if you hear it pumping when you do that youll know its workin for sure

You can jump the battery to one side of the throttle bypass (idle control) valve. It will run the fuel pump on the early pre 85.5 944's.

If you also run a jumper to the injectors and to the coil you could run the car.

When was the last time you changed your timing and balance belts and/or cam chain and tensioner?
