Question suspension replacement/upgrade

Well everyone, it's time that I put some attention towards my suspension. Here's the scoop:

My front driver's side sits lower than the passenger. I am guessing that my spring on that side is tired. It is low enough, and the old shock is weak enough, that if I turn hard to the right, or hit a bump while turning, the tire will hit the fender. The passenger front never rubs. My question is, should I just replace the springs at first and see if that helps most of my problem, or should I replace the entire strut from the get go?

If I replace the whole struts, what kind of prices can I get? I like the idea of yellow koni's, but I'd like to know all of my options.

Thanks in advance,
Dave

Replace them both at the same time while you have them apart...Don't forget to take your car IMMEDIATELY for a front end alignment after you're done....The yellow Konis are excellent from experience....I have them on the front and rear...my springs are Weltmeister 200lb...good luck!, Cus

Well, if you've got some money to spend, and you want to greatly improve your handling, I'll recommend the setup that I have on my 951: Bilstein front coil-overs with 350 lb. springs, and Bilstein rear shocks with 30mm torsion bars. The Bilstein shocks and struts will run about $1100 for the set, so this is by no means the cheap way to go, but I absolutely love the way my car handles with that setup. Another very worthwhile addition would be a Quaife torque-biasing differential (I have one of those too, and it's awesome!), but that would be another $1400. Again, not the cheap way to go, but I think it's the best way to go if you can afford it. The Bilstein part numbers are AK1110-A and AK1111-a for the front struts and AK35432 for the rear shocks. You can get them from http://www.shox.com/

Shaun... is this your car? If it is, what did you do or is this just like your story regarding the front bumper pads and the insurance...

Wink

Lets see what we have here isn this pic/

Big Red with an adapter block to make it work on whatever spindle that is (951?). Bilstein AK-112X front strut, valving 600/180, Charlie arm with the oversize ball joint, and what looks like an M030 sway bar.

Correct?

Actually I was wrong that swaybar is a Turbo Cup sway bar as evidenced by the C-clip at the end of the bar. Those are not the correct bushings for that bar however. The correct bushing are longer and of a harder durometer.

Sorry Officer, my bag of crack fell and while trying to reach it my gun got wedged in between the gas and the brake causing me to speed insanely.

Yeah it looks like that ugly yellow that they used on their 944..lol (no offense real ride). Anyway, if it was, they did not have "big reds" as far as I know. They claimed that even turbo brakes were an overkill. Likewise, the car was a N/A so the grill was either added to the motor mount or the car is not real ride's.

It's just that Realride's car was the only one that came to mind with yellow wheels... I'm way sure others do exist.

Bad move Shaun. no need to be so rude... I stand by my post, you imply the car is yours when in fact it is not. ICONS mean nothing.

Again, bad move on your part...

Calm down Shaun... you got caught in a lie... get past it...

I now move on to more important things, so I have nothing further to say on the subject...

Well, just to let you guys know, I bought the Koni Yellows. I also grabbed some 260# progressive Eibachs. Looks like the rear will need some treatment next.
