The frame is straight, and the problem is on both sides. Indeed if the stock control arms have what appears to be a large washer, at the back of the arm (where you adjust the caster/thrust angle), then there's the problem! Mine don't, I don't remember if the factory arms had this or not.

I cannot believe it's been this long, and I(we) haven't discovered that!

THANKS for pointing that out! I was thinking about everything, when it was indeed the single most simple thing possible! Interesting!

I'll probably end up welding the washers in there, trying to get my hands on some New Old Stock control arms, (I'll probably go ahead and strenthen them a bit while I'm at it too), any suggestions on where to get these would be appreciated.

3sonfather (Scott) - where could I get some Ertalyte? Is it commonly used in automotive applications?
