i can explain this. the quebec 944's were different than u.s & row. they were heavier but had lots more torque!

"THE CAR (1/43) IS ONLY USED AS REFERENCE FOR SHOWING THE SIZE OF THE STAND" I think that says it all guys.

Think about it this way, Canadians can't tell the difference because they can't drive a Porsche in Canada. It's too cold up there and too much snow. http://www.pelicanparts.com/ultimate/biggrin.gif

Minhiriath 04-09-2001 10:49 PM

umm ... i beg to differ ... i have two 924's ... the reason i can't drive them is they are broken :P the cold has nothing to do with it http://www.pelicanparts.com/ultimate/smile.gif

Rollins 04-09-2001 10:55 PM

Yea, but the snow does. Trust me I know the struggles of trying to drive a 944 in the snow. http://www.pelicanparts.com/ultimate/smile.gif

Well, I live on the West coast of Canada, and it has snowed for a total of about 6 days for winter of 00/01, so not too cold here. I checked the records, and in the last 11 years, there has been less that 3 weeks of snowing days. Must be a eastern Quebec seperatist thing.

AMCPorsche924Powerhaus! 04-10-2001 10:05 AM

I live out west Canada, not quite the coast.
I live near edmonton which is just north of Alaska, and on my 931 i have snow injection.
It's like ram air, but it catches snow as you drive and cools your turbo and motor, since it snows all year round here.
The Canada highway is closed most of the year, so i can't make it to quebec, takes about 3 hours to get there, so i haven't seen what they do out there with there cars.

Minhiriath 04-10-2001 11:07 AM

rollins: i actually liked driving my 924 in the snow ... especially when there is 6 inches of new stuff on the ground.

amc: your sense of humor has always been bad ....you don't actually think people believe you do you?

marksportcts 04-10-2001 11:54 AM

You guys should see all the comedy shows that Canadians here produce about Americans...Hehehe...seen 'em AMC? Especially the one with the live press conference of Bush during last year's presidential campaign.

AMCPorsche924Powerhaus! 04-10-2001 09:51 PM

This Hour Has 22 Minutes "talking to americans"
Yah...they go to universities in USA like Harvard and bull **** the USers, and they all poor little weiners beleive it.

marksportcts 04-10-2001 11:34 PM

Yankee Doodle..yank their chains!!

I AM CANADIAN

CJFusco 04-11-2001 06:35 AM

I really see no difference between Americans and Canadians. To me, it's just another regional dialect and set of customs, like New England or the Midwest or TexMex, etc...

asidrave 04-11-2001 08:56 AM

sure looks like a 928 to me

Rollins 04-11-2001 09:45 AM

I used to live on the border of Canada in NY. I was around 10 minutes from the peace bridge. When I lived there I played on a travel hockey team and we were always going to Canada, usually only into the outskirts of Toronto, and into Ottawa. I've always liked Canada a lot because it is so much cleaner than the US. Sorry if you guys took that little joke seriously. I was just playing around.

Rollins 04-11-2001 10:13 AM

You ever been to Buffalo NY? Go there and then drive across the peace bridge (the bridge that seperates the US and Canada) and look around, look at ther difference, even in the bigger cities like Toronto. Sorry, but it's the truth. Canada is a lot cleaner.
