When was the last time you changed your timing and balance belts and/or cam chain and tensioner?

I bet you forgot about the porsche bulletin telling you to remove the snorkle hose from the belt cover to the air intake.

Same thing happened to a friend of my girlfriends sister.

Hey, I’ve seen that belt before. It is the drive belt for my Hoover Wind Tunnel vacuum cleaner. The “Super Charger” option increases horse power to the beater bar to suck up dirt from the carpet.

This belt is as hard to change on the Hoover as it is on the 944. Same engineering school graduated Hoover and Porsche engineers.

"were you playing submarine?"

Wouldn't that be a U-Boat, in our case?

Belt came from an automation project I did in 1991 for Sumitomo Electric and LTV Steel in Ohio. Got four feet of a half mile long production line.

Sinusoidal tooth forms. You can get twice the belt as a replacement for the square tooth timing belts.

Wish like heck that the stupid plastic vacuums out today had a toothed drive belt! All of them are smooth.
