Hello,
I'd like to hear a louder-higher pitched sound from my pressure release valve, is it possible on our cars for low costs without decreasing performance or reliability? If so, what are the parts to change or to adjust, and how do I do? Does anybody have sound files of cars with that kind of modification? Thanks alot! ------------------ Porsche 944 Turbo 1986 90 000 miles ·Stroker kit (2.8L conversion) ·Autothority chip ·Manual boost controller |

What kind of blow off valve would you suggest? Are they expensive?
Thanks! |

The only way to get that 'whoosh' sound from the blowoff valve is if you release the air to the atmosphere instead of routing it back into the intake upstream of the turbo, as the stock blowoff valve does. Routing the air back into the intake helps keep the turbo spooled up and reduces lag when you get back on the throttle, so I wouldn't recommend routing the exhaust ait from the valve to the atmosphere. You might try the racing bypass valve from Turbo XS, since it is set up to recirculate the air like the stock valve:

Did any 951 owner install one of these valves on their car? I want to know if it will really improve the sound without affecting the reliability and performance of the car.
