spacer help

hey there
i bought of 16x7 rims for the front but am having trouble mounting them. the guy i bought them off told me they were 52.3 mm which is the correct offset for a 924S, correct? but after mounting them there is a space between the hub and inside of the rim where it should contact. i assume this means i need spacer , what size? also can u drive around like this or will it be fatefull to me and or the suspension? could 1/4 spacers work as the gapp looks to be a bout that big
thanks for the help

Are these Porsche Rims or aftermarket that you bought? If Porsche wheels, they should all accomidate hubcentric mounting and I'd look for some obstruction to them mounting flush to the hub.

Hello!
I too just got a set of 7jx16 "trash lid" 928 wheels and would like to fit them to my 1988 924S
Possible? looks tight but doable with the right tires? anybody have any experience with a wheel swap such as this?
