hey obin how was the swap meet. i didnt go because i couldnt get my 944 runnin and i was pissed. was it worth goin too.

It was so-so... I couldn't find **** for 944 parts. I told my buddy that I needed a 911 so that I could buy things at the swap meet.

All in all it was worth it (for me..). The Porsche corral looked like a car show. I was Sooooooo ticked off, we got there around 11:30 and either the corral was full or the dingbats running the parking lot had 0 clue about the corral, so I had to park in the "park-goers" lot... Luckily I parked between two 996's..so i was door-ding safe.

Dear lord the 996's ...there were sooo many...soo beautiful.. The 968 was well represented also, many more than I expected to see. I'm glad I don't have the money for one because I was jonesin for one after seeing them all. Did anyone see that 944 with 18" 993 rims on it? 35 series tires (I spent the whole day looking at peoples tire sizes

) There was a 944 cabrio with that press-on wood dash that someone posted about a while back... I was pretty nice looking. Kindof a ten footer, once you got up close it had a puffy sticker feel to it..but it looked nice. That car also had the strangest thing on the front...it was almost like a bra but it was a replica of the front clip of the car...and it screwed into the license plate holes...strange. He also had a European delivery oval.

I spent most of my time at a buddy's spot. We had the bumber, reflector, quarters, and rockers off of a red 993 sitting out...and a rear seat delete from a carrera. Did anyone stop by us?

I feel left out!

I wanted to go so bad this year to the Swap meet. But being 17, (18 in 17 days though) low on money right now, and it being 5.5 hrs away, I just couldn't make it this year. Next year though, I'm going to make sure I go. It sounds like I would have a blast there, and it would be cool to meed some of you guys.
Wish me luck next year on making it! haha

I should HOPEFULLY still have my 944 next year or maybe even an upgrade to a 951.
