Ad in the local paper for a '84 944 for $23,000!!!!
Hi everyone,
There is an add in the local paper for a '84 944, excellent condition, 40K, for $23,000!!!!! The best I can tell this is for real!!!! It's time to put my '85.5 in the paper next to his!!!! Steal it for only $15,000!!!!! Has the world gone MAD??????

Some people just see "Porsche" on the back of the car and assume that it's worth money. It's probably some schmuck who has put $23,000 into fixing the car up and thinks that he can get it all back.

haha the damn thing cost $18,000 in 84, i don't think it would be worth MORE now

2300 for a 40k mile car is a darn good deal (depending on condition) if it is a typo.

I've always said we all should flood the market with our cars.
All members here should advertise their cars in the $20,000-25,000 range. We can drive up the perceived price. When someone calls us and says, "I can get one down the road for $3000", we all just say, "You do that - what kind of Porsche do you think you will get for $3000?????". We all could do it.....it's not like the cars will sell, and if they do - who here wouldn't take $20,000-25,000 for their car? Maybe this guy heard of my idea and is starting the trend!!! 944S Boyeee

There have been a few adds around here recently that are ridiculously overpriced. Not $23,000...but around $14,000-$18,000.
