radiator hose replacement

so i just got this '85 944 and the previous owner had just replaced the radiator last year. but the other night it started leaking coolant bad. i found a hose connecting from the reservior to the radiator which was leaking due to improper hose mounting. is there any site i can go to find the procedures to replace the hose?

and does anyone know if there's any bad problems that adding the engine treatment, injector cleaner additives and engine restorer might cause?

Garage
Go here,great site, http://www.clarks-garage.com/
As for injector cleaner,I always use Chevron with techron, about once a month,as for engine treatments, or restore's the owners manual states,"Do not use any oil treatment" So I go buy what they say, besides, they DID build the car...
Good Luck
P.S. Welcome to the board!

if you are talking about long, kinked hose that goes into left side of coolant tank:

Well dismantling in prep for belt/waterpump change saw that new hose had a nice alternator gouge in it. Oops.

Route it OVER upper radiator hose and it clears fine

yup that's what happened to the hose. the alternator was hitting it for who knows how long. i'm just gonna replace it and zip tie it so that it's not hitting the alternator

Most engine oil additives are just "snake oil." Stick with a good quality oil like Castrol Synthetic or Mobile 1. I have used both brands with equal results.

As for injector cleaners, I highly recommend Red Line SL-1. A bottle is about $5.00 and will treat about 100 gallons of fuel. However, Markus Blasazk (http://www.blaszakprecision.com/) recommends using the entire bottle as an initial treatment, and then follow the label directions for subsequent uses.
