Post Sun visor clips

Okay, I had the oddest thing happen to me today. I didn't drive my car today until this evening. When I got in *both* the sun visor clips that hold the visor up to the ceiling are broken. They had broken off at the ceiling and were still clipped to their respective visors. Has anyone had this happen before? It's almost like some odd form of vandalism, except the doors were locked and the alarm wasn't tripped. It was pretty hot here today, would that have done it? Weird stuff here...

This happened to me a few years back. No worries - those clips are made of cheap plastic that just breaks apart over time and heat in the cabin. Nothing $10 and a trip to the dealer couldn't fix.

I had the same thing happen one summer. The heat really destroys the plastice. The clips are cheap and install with 2 screws.

Yes, the clips are cheap - $6.60 each here at Pelican, but the damn postage to mail these light things costs almost as much as a clip! I don't live very close to a dealer, otherwise I'd try getting them there.

Fortunately, a board follower here (Fred) found me a used set for a fair price.
