Post Front rim inner "plates"

My front wheels (the 5 spoke type black ones) of my 944 has plate on the inner side of the wheels, I assume to prevnt brake dust coming out and laying all over my rims. Are there supposed to be some for the rear rims? I haven't noticed them on any rear rims of 944's I've seen.

Has anyone removed these from the front rims? I actually like the look of the rims w/o the plates, but I don't want disc brake dust galore...

Thanks, Dean

Dean,

Take thoses things off! They do prevent brake dust from forming on your wheels but they also screw up cooling to your rotors. Therefore the brake disks warp quicker.

p.s. How's the toy? Florida is nice.
