Somethings not rite...

Just started having troubles with my indicators last nite. The indicators themselves aren't going, even though the light on the dash says they are. The light is staying solid too, not blinking. And when I turn the indicators on the park brake light comes on on the centre console.
Any help? Obviously a sparky job.
cheers

Hi 924 it sounds like your turn signal relay is bad or has a bad connection, remove the relay and see if the pins are all good and clean if not put some dielectric grease on the pins also check, your fuses, now if by chance you replaced a turn bulb you might have replaced the bulb with a different voltage requrment if so return the correct volage bulb to the all the outlets......... also check the grounds in the car as a bad ground can cause all of the above problems..........Stan

Cheers dude, I'll have a look at the relay 2nite when my g/f gets back from work with my car (Not my idea 4 her to borrow http://www.pelicanparts.com/ultimate/wink.gif)

For example, if your left blinker is out or not properly connected, then when you signal left, the blinker on your dash will stay on. When you signal right, your blinker will move twice as fast. Check to make sure that the bulbs are not bad or that you don't have a loose connection. This happened on my left blinker. The connection point on the bulb and become corroded. I cleaned it off any replaced and everything was fine.

Cheers, but no probs with the bulbs. Indicator light stays solid either way. Doesn't really matter now anyway, my g/f never made it home. She went to leave work and the car was dead as a dead thing. Starter motoers coozed... http://www.pelicanparts.com/ultimate/frown.gif
