how is the speedo sensor to be tested?
 
I pulled the speedo apart and the gears are intact. How do you check the speedo sensor ( on the transmission)? What kind of voltage if any will there be? I tried to use a multimeter but couldn't get any numbers.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1062207295.jpg

Should be sending out pulses. Have to search the past messages here and on Rennlist.com for the info. I'll check the WSM's to see if they have the info. May take an o-silly-scope to see them.

It uses pulses off of magnetic inserts off of the ring gear for speed.

What symptoms are you seeing?

I have a non functioning speedo and odometer. The odometer gear is intact and spins freely.
