Boy... That's a big ass crack... | 85.0 auto 944 Radiator |
Well I finally had some time to work on my car. So I got the radiator out, and took it to a place to have it checked. (If it could be repaired or not)
I get there, and this white fellow smelling of cigarettes takes it and runs one of those tests they do. He pauses for about 3 seconds, and says... "Boy, That's a big ass crack".  When he said it, it was quite commical. (as in how he said it, not that it had a crack in it).So I now come to you, great gods of Porsche 924/944/968 Technical Forum" section, beacsue i need some help.... I need to locate a used radiator (becasue i am low on cash) for a 1985.0 AUTOMATIC 944... Thanks for your time guys. Bye.

When he said it, was he talking about a fellow employee?
Sorry, had to say it. No source for radiators unfortunately, but you might do a search.

Ya.. looks like I am going the route of a new one. $225 w/ lifetime warranty. which is a plus. =] Thanks. Later guys.

i know a guy in Austin, Texas with a 79 944 auto, he's selling it for $500, it has the engine, but i doubt it runs...

If you don't need it new, be sure to check out a dismantler like Parts Heaven first -- I just recently got a quote of $150 for a 968 radiator (vs $350 new).
