Offset Gurus - Boxster Rims on a 1986 944 Turbo - Please Help
I have searched and can't easily determine the answer to this, so I am asking for assistance. I have a 86 951 with early stock (23.3) offset - takes 16x7 in front and 16x8 in rear. I have the opportunity to purchase 2000 boxster rims with the following specs - 16 x 6 in front (50 mm offset) and 16 x7 (40 mm offset). Will they fit? Does anyone have pictures of this rim on a 944? Thanks -
Jeremy

I'm guessing these are the split-spoke base-style Boxster rim? I definately know that there have been pics of 944s with those rims posted here on this board in the past. I'm sorry I don't have any pictures fo these rims myself, the best advice I could give ya is to try searching through the archives some more to see if the pictures are still up.

They must be great looking wheels !!! Installing narrower wheels will down grade the handling of the car.

They will fit if you install spacers and longer studs. Afer which you can use any early or late-offset wheels you want on our car. Procedure in the 944 Wheels FAQ section o fmy 951 RacerX website
