Back Up Lights not working
I just found out my back up lights do not work. No idea when this happened (was since last year's inspection). I recently had the clutch replaced. The bulbs do work (yes, I tried this first!). What else could be causing this problem and how can I fix it?

We checked the fuse and that also works. Any other ideas? There are four bulbs in the back assembly (blinker, running light, brake light and back-up light), only the back up light is not working. Could it be the contact with the transmission? The clutch was recently worked on. If it is this, how can I fix it?

Iam sure there is a switch - have you checked the switch yet??? Maybe the wires came loose when the clutch was replaced.
Switch i believe is located on top of the tranny. Last edited by FRANKYDOOM; 09-05-2003 at 05:38 AM.. |

Yeah check the switch. Mine don't work either, I'm going to check it when I do my clutch later this month.

Hi ,
I've had an ongoing situation with my reverse lights also. Can I add to this by suggesting to remove the bulbs, and clean the lamp socket thoroughly with an abrasive type of instrument. I seem to constantly buil up corrision on the insides of all of my rear contact points due to moisture leakage there. Hope this works, good luck.. Frank B
