Post What Rims Will Fit My 944?

Does Anyone Know What Rims Fit On A 1983 944?
The Offset Seems To Be The Problem. The Offset Changed From I Believe 1987 Up On The 944's. If I Remove The Spacer Plate Will Newer Rims Fit? Thanks

FRH makes rims that will fit 944s of the early years. I purchased a set of 7.5s and 9s from a place called Better Bodies in San Ysidro, California for 800 dollars used and in excellent condition. If you want to fit any size wheel without specifically ordering the offset designed for your car, i would reccomend 1" spacer adapters for the front and rear of your car. Talk to a person who knows more about offsets than i do and they will tell you more of the nitty gritty stuff about upgrading your wheels.

you will need to ADD spacers to run later offset wheels.

Late wheels have an 52.3mm off set. Early wheels have a 23.3mm off set. I know cause i have both types on my `87 right now. So, to run late wheels on an early car you need a spacer around 29mm. or about an inch.
