Alarm
I just now got around to messing with the alarm on my 84 844. My question is, does the little keyhole next to the door lock take a seperate key other than the cars key. Because mine doesn't work. Any help?

the key for the alarm is diffrent from the door and ignition key. i was told from a locksmith that made a copy of my alarm key that it is also the same key for a saab. i plan on removing the alarm key cylinder and replacing it with a barrel lock type cylinder for added pick-proof protection.

I have one 85.5 944 with this factory style alarm installed. Since I'm in the process of parting this one out, I want to install this alarm in my other 85.5 944, but not in the default location.
Has anyone here mounted the alarm key switch in a less obvious place? Looking for ideas. Thanks, Dean |
