Real Aluminum Dash Boards for late 944s

I have seen the 3M adhesive brushed aluminum look dashboards that are made or a maleable sticker - there are auctions on eBay for true aluminum trim and bezels for 928s - doea anyone make real aluminum dashes or bezels for late 944s? Thanks -

Jeremy

I am a dealer for dash kits as I sell them out of my shop here in NY, real brushed aluminum is available for the 1977-1985 924/944s. There is an 8 piece base kit as well as an optional 2 piece door trim kit and an optional 2 piece speaker trim kit. I have the yellow carbon fiber kit in my p-car. If you would like more info just let me know...

I think this has gone far enough.

I am as sensitive to V-Tech stickers as anyone, however, I have read post after post about how aluminum dashes cheese a Porsche out. If this is the case - has anyone looked at the stock interior of a twin turbo lately - in your opinion I would assume Stuttgart is now located in Japan. I believe that the Uncle Ben's comments, if posted at all, should be left for the posts asking about how to put an indiglo body kit on an early 944. Hopefully, this is enough said -

jwolk, the difference is that when they come stock on a 996 Twin Turbo, they look like they belong in the car. When you buy an aluminum dash kit, you are getting little more than metallic stickers... and they look like metallic stickers. I have yet to see a cheap aftermarket metal dash kit that looks good.

How long will it be before cars with THIS THING - http://www.944online.com/images/944rearspoiler2-2.JPG - starts showing up on the board? "Hi, I'm 16 and just bought a Porsh. Check out my phat new wing. I think it looks sweet, and all my Honda buddies agree!"

CJ and Da Mutt I agree with both of you - and I hope that this response does not continue a flame. CJ - I understand your statement and agree in most parts, please notice that in my original post I was specifically looking for a non-sticker malleable like trim - but rather real aluminum. The 911 and 928 folks have great trim accents that are made of true brushed aluminum that looks really nice IMO. I had been unable to find similar kits for guage bezelsand dash trim for 944s and that was why I did the post. I just want to update the interior a little. I can promise you that I have no plans for a shift knob with lights that flash with the beat of my neon accented sub-woofer -

So you think I should hold off on those then?

I think real aluminum, while nice, would stick out a bit too much in our interiors. REAL carbon fiber, nice and glossy, would be cool IMO. Subtle, racy, and classy at the same time.

But you can bet I'm getting one of those LED tailpipes soon as my next paycheck.

EDIT- CJ- that spoiler isn't as bad as it can get. Wait till someone comes here with a high quality stained-plywood spoiler nailed into the rubber spoiler.
