radiator quality

i need to replace my radiator. im planning on buying the one from pelican. has anyone had any bad experience with this radiator. i ask because the PO told me the radiator was less than a year old when i bought the car. that makes me think (if he wasnt lying) that perhaps some of the aftermarket radiators are crap.
thanks

What is wrong with it? Is it cracked, or corroded?

my radiator has been cracked for 5 years now. I repaired it 4 years ago and it hasn't leaked since! I took out the radiator dried it, cleaned it and sanded the surrounding area where the crack was (2"). I then went to West Marine boat supply and purchased a West Systems Marine Epoxy kit for $20. I degreased the cracked area with paint surface prep degreaser then mixed the 2 part epoxy with some micro balloons to thicken it up a bit. I coated the crack and about 2" all around about 1/8" thick. I let it cure for a day them reinstalled the radiator. It hasn't leaked since. One thing I forgot to mention was prior to epoxying I heated a small putty knife with a torch and used the knife to melt the crack back togeather going back and forth to smooth it out. Kind of like filling a crack in drywall. Like I said it hasn't leaked since. Is it a permenent fix? I can't say but I haven't had to spend $200 on a new radiator yet. I performed the same fix on my uncle's 1996 honda accord with the same results. If you want it to look nice you could sand the repair smooth and spray it with black paint.
