Yes, it's mostly accurate once you get good at using it. I still prefer the 9201 as it is easier to read and use.

Blaszak Racing has a "how to" and an article on the subject. They call their tool the "Optibelt Tool" but having held the Kriket in one had and the Optibelt in another they are visually identicle in every detail

At 944fest we compaired the reading's on the $500 porsche tool to the $8 kriket tool. Guess what... They read exactly the same, no difference at all! Next time I need to do anything with my belts, I'm going to buy the kriket.

I've used the Kriket for about 4 years. For the cost (about $20) you can affort to keep a spare in your tool box. Very simple to use.

I think from "napa". But they should be at pretty much any local automotive store...

Here's where I got mine several years ago. They are really nice folks and shipped immediately. Click on the Kriket I link (in box #1) to see some details, scroll down to see their email address, phone number, etc.

Which one did you go with, the KRI, KRII or KRIII. How much does it cost from them?

I went with the Kriket I (I believe), but it's been a while. Just call them and tell then what application you'll be using it for and they tell you which of their products to use. Seems like I paid about $12 including shipping.
