Ok since Audio seems to be a hot topic. I have a question. I need to run wires for an amp in the hatch area. Where do I run them without cutting my carpet? Where have you ran it.
Thanks Thom |

I ran a 4Ga from the battery to the fusebox into the car under the driver's side carpet/rocker panel. Now, I am redoing the system with 0/1ga going into cabin at the passenger's side and to the frame thru the rubber caps all the way to the rear. I will be running a pair of Alpine V12 MRV-F407 and a MRV-1507. 2 Alpine 12" Type-R and 8 mids and tweets. I'll post pics when done. A lot of custom work.

Is the carpet all glued down or can I go under the two pieces of black plastic by the doors?
Thanks Thom |

0/1ga wire? What the hell do you need that for? 4ga should be big enough for anything you'd want to put in your car. Besides that, the alternator won't put out enough power to run anything that would require 0ga wire. Hell, we only used 4ga for the main power wires on the school's solar powered car project, and it would draw well over 100 amps at 144V when accelerating at full throttle. Seriously, if you've already got 4ga don't waste your money on anything bigger. It's overkill.

Theres a decent ridge on the passenger side along the underside of the carpet. I was ablot to run my remote and 4ag power down there, then I ran 3 sets of thick RCA's down the drivers side... the drivers side was tight...but it worked. Good luck finding a quality ground
![]() BTW, this black door jam covers are a *****... I broke both of mine putting them back on. Be careful. ------------------ Chris 90 944 S2 Cabriolet http://nbc.vet.upenn.edu/~ckrough/auto.php3 |
