it might be worth it.........but it depends on how much money you have right now and what you want the car for.
If this is gunna be your toy, like driving on the weekends for fun and you have suggnificant amount of money then yea go for it. But if this is your everyday driver i dunno it seams kinda beat up from the description so if u dont have the money or the pacients to keep it in the garage for a while making it nice then i'd say not worth it if u do thave the money you can make this into a REAL fun car though |

I'm with Andre on this one... the car sound's like it is going to be a "money pit"
Let's see Not running for 8 months Abandoned by mechanic(ya sure, probably cold not affort the repairs) Possible missing parts from trans removal Unknown motor condition, can't run it to verify "Anything" Broken adometer (who knows the true mileage) IMOP, as a parts car, possible, but definitly a money pit if trying to bring it back from the dead... |

mideast a 931 gets about 25MPG-30MPG
it gets better mileage than the 924. Turbos are very effecient fuel-wise (not heat/cracked header wise) even if you have it floored all the time. [This message has been edited by AMCPorsche924Powerhaus! (edited 05-21-2001).] |

But it's not fair to compare a turbo car, to a non turbo car right?

the lady selling the car seems real cool. she also has great buyer feedback. it seemed real honest of her to mention all of the little problems that would be impossible to know from the pictures. we do have a complete parts car and 2 spare engines should something be wrong. due to the mileage we will probably pull the engine and fit a rebuilt one anyway. heck we have paid $2k just for an 87 turbo engine.we will hopefully be going down friday to pick it up with the trailer, i will let you all know how it pans out.
