could someone tell me where the low end of the a/c is?

If you mean the low side, or "vapor" line, its the line that goes most directly from the compressor to the condensor. In the case if the 944 the low side service port is on the compressor itself.

The high side (liquid line) line will return from the condensor to the dryer and into the evap core.

well i was tring to find it so i could tell if it had been swiched over or not, and it has... the service port was right against the firewall near the center of the engine bay.
