Sunroof doesn't open, but unlocks all the time
 

My problem with the sunroof arose yesterday. When the car is in the
ON/Run position with the ignition key the suroof switch operates the
RELEASE instead of TILT. Please let me know if anyone else has had this
problem... It is not the gears what I think has happened is the power from
the ignition ON is not getting to the controls for the roof and the roof
assumes the key is only in Position 1 meant to release the roof lock. Any
trouble-shooting help, wiring diagrams/color codes and part locations
would be of great help.

Hi Aaron.

Mine does the same and I've checked most items. I've read numerous articles but found no solutions. Th sunroof can be operated manually though so it can be locked.
let me know if you find a solution and I'll do likewise.

Have you checked the switch at the front centre of the sunroof aperture ?

Not sure if it's really the problem - it tells the car whether the roof is in or out, so maybe if it was faulty you'd get problems with the sunroof action.
