Post Gran Turismo 3 for PS2

I was looking at a preview for this game and I was disppointed to see that Porsche is not on the roster. I wonder why?? That game looks like a rice boy's dream.

EA has all the rights to Porsche video games with the NEED FOR SPEED series. Porsche isnt in GT3, but Ruf is.

I've heard from an inside source that tests game for microsoft that the X-BOX (micro. new console system) will have a game that will BLOW THE DOORS off of GT3 (i'm a huge GT fan btw). He also told me that the 951 might be in it! WAHOO n things =) That would be aweomse. ANYWHO!......

p.s. SHHHhhh it's a secret ( i have horrible spelling tooo! )

I like the first one best. If this game is as good as it is supposed to be and has those Porsches I might get it. I like driving games but so far all the ones I have tried have sucked (for PS2)

Need for Speed: Porsches Unleashed - A great game for PC(better) and Playstation. No 924/968 though.

Chris
P.S. it was Need for Speed 2000 in Europe/ROW

They committed a heinous sin by not including the 924 Carreara GTR/S as a racing model car in NFS PU...

There are several 944s in NFS:Porsche:
944 coupe
944S coupe
944 Turbo coupe
944 Turbo S coupe
944 Turbo S cabriolet
944 S2 coupe
944 S2 cabriolet

it is really a great game and has a lot of great porsches. the reason that a lot of the classics weren't included (924, 968, most 928s, 917, 916, etc) was that they were in a hurry to get the game out. I've hear rumors of an updated version, however.

CJFusco --I've hear rumors of an updated version, however.--

Do have a link or anything to support this? I LOVE the game NFS:PU and would really like to look forward to an update.

No, unfortunately I do not have a link to support this... but I have heard this rumor from several different sources, and so far all of the Need For Speed rumors over the years I have heard have come true in some form (High Stakes, Porsche Unleashed, Motor City)... I have also heard a rumor of a Ferrari-only NFS game (as you will notice, there are no Ferraris in GT3 either)... but who would want anything like that?

I don't know if I've played a different version from u guys but the NFS-Porsche game released in NZ had the 924, 924T and 924S. I had great fun comparing all the watercooleds' against each other. I also heard the same reason tho about the lack of range for some models, ie: they were rushing for a deadline and had to finish up quickly and thats why the 356 range is so in-depth and the rest aren't.

Can you verify and possibly ship one?

Boo with X-box...microsoft cant do anything right...their console is going to crash all the time just like it did at E3 when they were showing a demo..and boom it crashed Muhahah. I have a PS2 and will get GT3 but i am also getting Nintendo Gamecube when that comes out...hopefully a good racing game will come out for that.
