They may have altered it's emissions system to help clean it up and make it reach US standards. OR maybe they just legalized it. Afterall, the 959 became legal in 2000.

i've seen them on the roads. there was one at the Hershey swap last year too (yes, with plates on it).

i think it's a "dont ask, don't tell" situation with legalizing it.

The things you can do with gray market these days =) Even if you do legalize it, you can take off the emissions restraints, like the cat and get that Euro-bang. And when smog time comes, put it right back on.....Gray markets are geniouses!

didn't the 959 flip over or something and they didn't allow them on the road or didn't allow them to be imported or something?
if so, why did they flip? too fast around corners for what the suspesnion could handle or what?
Why would porsche make a car that is dangerous?!?!

and why do i ask so many questions all the time about why porsche did this bad thing, and why they did that bad thing, there are too many bad things going on here, what the hell is wrong with this company called porsche!??!?!?

no. actually porsche sold the cars for less than it cost them to make and they surely were not going to slam 5 of them into a wall just to sell a few in the U.S.A. you would be hard pressed to make a car with that heigth to width ratio flip!!
