Question turbo wrap

I was looking through some stuff in Summit racing and came across a turbo wrap kit from DEI and was wondering if it would help all that much. Hell it cant hurt with the turbo sitting right under the intake. Ive got a thermocouple that I can put under the hood and check the temps before and after. For less than 75 bucks I say its worth the try. What do you guys think????

I'd try it, only if you can find a way that'll keep the turbo from oxidizing (with all the moisture from condensation trapped in with the wrap). I don't see why it wouldn't help, I'd cover the rest of the exaust as well, but only after paint perhaps. It should (in theory) reduce the life of these components, but I don't think it'd be something too drastic.

for the same $$ you can have your exhaust manifold/crossover ceramic coated, which WILL help.

-->and after ceramic coating, you can wrap the pipes with an insulator, which'll help even more...

This is what european car did, on a 944 turbo with 400+hp if I remember correctly.
