Post Sunroof

My sunroof does nothing when I push the button. I tore everything apart and tested every switch and the motor itself... and all are fine. Then I found out that the sunroof relay in the fuse/relay box was missing. The prior owner must have removed it at some point. $90 for a new one seems steep - ideas?

Contact a dismantler (ie: partsheaven), or junk yard.

Or go to the classified section here at Pelican Parts. Parts Heaven's prices are not what you'd call reasonable, but at least it's probably almost always one-stop shopping.

Even try EBay. 944 parts galore there!

Try www.carquip.com They are a Porsche bone yard in Boulder Colorado. They are getting out of the 944 buisness and are making great deals on the 4 or 5 cars they are parting out.

Thanks - I'll check out some of these sources.

I just bought my 86 944na a couple months ago from a friend, but it is a real project. Every time I take something apart I find a few parts missing, broken, or worn out. Lousy maintenance too - the air filter was completely clogged. The oil had not been changed in 4000 miles, which is okay - but it spanned 4 years! The clutch hydraulic fluid was as black as coffee - I don't think it had ever been bled.
