Just wondering, why didin't you paint it first? Won't you now have paint bridging between the new piece and the lower valance?

aftermarket parts inevitably need to be trimmed. you want to fit it and mark it for trimming before you paint it or you will have to paint it again. the way i installed it will allow it to be easily removed just like the factory piece so it will be painted off of the car. i also have a larger oil cooler front mounted so that calls for a little additional trimming. and yes, the arrow points to the tow hook.
