Quarter Panel replacement
Has anyone replaced a quarter panel on a 944 recently?
This looks a lot more difficult than a fender. It seems a lot of people don't replace the whole piece which would include above the small window and cut it at about half way up the window. Can Anyone share their experience? |

you definitely want to replace it all. cut it up to the roofline all the way back to the taillight and back to the door jamb. it is reallt not that bad to do but a plasma cutter is nice. it can be cut with a cut-off wheel though. if you ask the rennlist you will be swamped with panels for cheap. i had offers of $50 but we opted for a new one for $500.

Thanks 951Carter,
When you say cut it off how much needs to be left to weld the new panel too. I guess you find out when you start cutting. LOL! |
