Do you think this is possible

I have an 88' 944 turbo. Has 88,000 miles on it. Stone Gray Metallic. I would rate the car as good condition (not excellent) but it NEEDS a new clutch. Timing and BS belts have been replaced within 20k miles. Both water pumps are new. Master and Slave clutch cyilander are brand new. Good tires. No CAT (i have it if someone wants it), official Porsche Bra and tools with it, along with mostly new coolant hoses (and a bunch of spares.) A

Also new motor mounts, amoung other things. Do you think I could sell it for 5,000+? What would you think. Do you think spending 1200-1500 on a clutch would be worth the money I can make. Time is an issue. 2-3 months to get rid of it. If anyone is interested make a post. But also looking if you think i can get this price on Ebay or the local paper?

Go ahead and get the clutch done and then you could sell it for quite a bit more, maybe about $10K is it is in good shape. Hell, I would be very interested in buying it if you were not so far from where I'm located.

I will always ship it for 10k if you want it with a clutch :D. Anywhere in the USA

10k?

Nabeel are you on crack :) ..... 10K seems a little high in its present day form ...

If someone offers 5K I would take it. If the clutch is shot and someone does the work it can easily be a 2-3K job..... plus whatever else they find. So it will be hard to convince someone to buy it even like that....

What did you end up buying it for? You have had it for quite a while as I recall.....

I'm on crack? ;). Not the first time I've heard it! But honestly, I don't think $10K is too high to ask for a '88 951 with reletively low miles and a new clutch. If everything is in working order, that's the price I would advertise the car if I were selling it. I've seen plenty of cars in that range.

Here's a few examples...

I think 10K is a fair asking price, maybe sell for arounr $8500-9K

Well, the condition according to his description is: An unknown electrical problem. Windshield needs a little work. Dash is cracked. Drivers seat leather is cracked. Rear hatch leaks. And the interior color is burgandy. Coming from Twin Falls, I am imagining a fair number of door dings and rock chips as well.

Wha? Did I miss something? He never posted that....

edit- ah, I gotcha.

edit # 2- I have 944 posts! :)
