front fender removal

how do you get the fenders off? there are eight bolts across the top, dont seem to be any on the side next to the door or along the bottom. Then there are two? through the front valance. I took all those out, and the fender wont budge. Any ideas? Is it just clipped on, do i need the rubber mallet?
