Hey, We are replacing the standard forged aluminum front right control arm on our non-turbo '88 944 and found one that looked identical on ebay for cheap.
On closer inspection, we noticed that although they look the same, ours is marked with an 87 ( 1987?) and the one we bought with an 85 (1985?). Also, the the last two digits of the part number are different.. ours is 951.341.150.10, and the one we bought is 951.341.150.01. Simply put, is a there any reason why we can't use this as a replacement... Don't want to screw up the front end or anything... thanks, pat |

The part numbers that I see for the lower control arm are:
87-88: 951 341 028 02 87-88: 951 341 028 31 (M030,M758 Suspension) ??????????? -G ------------------ Geoff Baltz '86 944 Turbo |

I had my right front replaced when I first bought the car. The ball joint was wasted. The part number on my invoice shows 951 341 028 XX. This part cost me $424.00. Expensive but worth it. I don't screw around with used ball joints and wheels falling off at 80mph!

I'm going to replace both of mine very soon in my '87 as the balljoints are going. I've been calling around, and the numbers and model year MUST be the same - even though they look identical.
