$500 944 Auto

i'm thinking about buying an automatic 944 (don't know the year) for $500, it's missing the air dam... i'm thinking i could just part it out and make some money off the parts here.

how much does this stuff typically go for?...

doors
moonroof
hatch
cookie cutters
hood
quarter panels
lights

ANYTHING ELSE you could imagine from the car...

would it be worth my $500 in parts that i could make money off of?

how hard is it to dispose of a car after it's no longer driveable?

When was the last time you changed your timing and balance belts and/or cam chain and tensioner?

Does it run? If you don't buy it, I will.

Let me know.

list the VIN...we'll tell you the year

you would be lucky to recover the $500 selling just those body parts unless the 'moonroof' is a genuine glass 'Saratoga' top

Any rolling chassis that is 90% complete is worth $500.

I got my '83 for $500 and have had alot of fun bringing it back from the grave.

I bought a '90 miata a couple months back again for $500 and have had fun bringing it back as well.

I cannot pass up $500 deals. If you pass it up tell me where it is and who and i'll be there in a NY minute.

Rick

for another $500 944 I would make room.

If it is an '83 - '85.0 (early) just buy it!! less stuff on it to fail, little easier to work on. Just a no brainer, buy it

ANY roller with parts of value is worth $500. If you have the room, buy it.

Dang, I have been dying to find an early 944 auto cheap for the wife. Trust me, it's easier then teaching her how drive a standard! I have tried, and I have failed! I blame the teacher!

I'd buy it! Got plenty-a-room!

Asking if you should replace that timing belt is like asking if you should re-use a condom that may have in hole in it with a hooker.

Any new details? Other than the air dam, what are the problem areas. If this car is in Austin, I am only 1.5 hrs away and might be interested in buying it. Does it run?

I have room.
