Oil pressure
I belive I have a problem.....When I start the car I get a 5 bar reading and after abiout 20min of decently hard driving or about 45min of highway driving I get a 1 to 1.5 bar reading at idle and sometimes even get that goddamn idiot oil light. I am using mobil 20-50 oil. I think I have a short with the guage though becuase when I have the ac or fan on the reading on the oil guage is even lower. Any suggestions? I also have one valve that likes to tick what are the procedures for curing that annoying ticking? I was told to take the valve cover off and have it miterred and possible replace the lifter..sound right? Thanks in advance-chris 944 NA E85

that is within spec according to the porsche owners/shop manual. you have a lifter going flat causing the ticking. not a vary hard job but the belts do have to be retensioned.
