1st place in Autocross!

Woo Hoo. Too bad I was the only one in my class!

But it was a great day. Perfect weather. 1st run out I DNF'd, the course looks a lot different when you are up to full speed. I got very disoriented. After that things were great. I got better by a wide margin each run. 3.5 secs better, 1.8, so on...

I learned once again that my car is capable of so much more than I am. I think what I need is seat time. Much more seat time.

And some sweet racing tires too.

Congrats Ramm. I'm surprised there were no cars in your class.

On Sunday I won my E-stock with my 260Z. The two other cars in my class were a 280Z and another 260Z. It was a great 3-way battle of the Z cars.

The only two Porsches were a 944 and a 996 GT3. That 944 posted some of the slowest times of the day unfortunatly. The GT3 wasn't anywhere near the fastest either. It did get a lot of attention. A turbo Miata, gen 3 RX7, C5s, Mustang GTs and V8 F-bodys posted the fastest times.

Not a good day for the 'Porchs' as the good ole boys call em.

Congrats dude. Looks like I'll have to wait until next year to do any of the events. At least by then I should have a new clutch, I think it's getting worse...
