insurance - what do you pay?

The final thing which made me buy my 944 was the insurance!! 200.00( $320.00) fully comprehensive on a classic car insurance which is 120 ($192) CHEAPER than my runabout suzuki swift= high mpg and low road tax.Admittadly mileage is restricted to 3000 ayear with carryover mileage but as it will be garaged most of the winter its not a hardship and i only walk over the road to work so no mileage there. What is the going rate around!! Whos getting ripped!

thats not too shabby, mate !! i was paying about $1600 canadian, until they jacked the rates up here, and 3 minor tickets did'nt help either!
i found a "classic car insurance company" and i now pay only $272 canadian, which is about 118 pounds sterling ! not too bad , eh?
btw, i have NO restriction, on my mileage. 100,000 if i want/per year.
i cant use the car, as my daily driver to and from work, at least, not every day, and not for shopping either!!???.
who cares, i can drive it any day, for as long, and as far as i want. is'nt that the point?
i do miss the excellent roads in britain, especially the twisty, up and down ones around the lochs !
good deal for you!
regards, bob.

i dont know if US rates will help. i imagine its cheaper here to insure a car than anywhere else. i pay about $120 a month, no accidents, no tickets.
its the same price for me to insure the 944 as my past 2 cars: a 93 z28 camaro and a 95 jetta.

Thing to keep in mind when comparing insurance rates, is the demographics and your own age/driving mileage/driving record/deductible.

I pay about $240 every 6 months for full coverage. $1000 deductible on both collision and comp. I live in a rural area, and commute 50 miles one way to work. No tickets/accidents or DUI's. I also get preferred member treatment, and multi car discounts.

sorry, did i say $272. i'm dyslexic today. i meant $227!
i have been in canada for 7 years now, and still treated like a new driver. when i first got my licence, it was nearly impossible to get coverage.
oh yes, my deductible is $100 dollars, collision and comprehensive.sweet.
if i did not have this policy, i would be paying $4000+.
welcome to canada--give us all your money!!
regards, bob.

tomeiche , I'm in the UK (Oxfordshire) who are you insured with? I wouldn't mind giving them a shot myself.
