Porsche Crest BBS wheel rubbing?

I just put some BBS wheels on my car, they are 15', just like my old cookies. The drivers side front wheel rubbed when I went over a fairly small bump earlier. I was looking at it and the driver's side fender is right above the wheel, where as the passenger side fender has about 2 inches of clearance. I've never noticed this before with my other wheels and am wondering if something could have made it sit lower today after putting them on. I took them off of an'84 which there was no rubbing.

Bent control arm with jackstand? (hope not)

Tire of a different brand or wear?

Any other fixes "while you were in there"

I checked your "days of driving" pics...Is your rear ride height lower than the front? Seems the rear wheel is swallowed up by the well?

ok, the wheels are 16', tires are same brand and wear. I'll have to check the suspension parts tommorow. This is all I did on my car today.

Yeah, the cookies in the rear seemed to go in pretty far, but not up. I need to update that, the picture I'm almost sure you are talking about was when the car was sitting on a hill and the tires were up pretty high.

try jacking the low side up again. the other day when i had my car on stands and let it back down one side of wheels sorta 'tucked' under the car. when i jacked the car back up on the low side they just sorta 'popped' back out.

Asking if you should replace that timing belt is like asking if you should re-use a condom that may have in hole in it with a hooker.

Yeah i just tried that, didn't help. Then I tried pushing on the front...yeah...I think the struts went out. I don't know how, but when pushing on the front of the car it's really easy to get it to go down...does it sound like the struts went out? I could swear it didn't do it this much before the new wheels...

Are these Carl's old wheels? I really doubt its the wheels. I drove his car pretty hard when I test drove it, and I felt no rubbing, but then again that car had the sport suspension and very little body roll. I was gonna suggest the same thing sheister did, but looks like you've already done that...

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's the front suspension. Looks like I'll be replacing it soon...
